After playing in a band for years, the 19-year-old Ellis moved into electronic music back in 2016. The Birmingham, UK based producer and musician grew to learn how to play the decks next to his bass guitar. Growing up listening to pop punk, Ellis is heavily influenced by different genres, from rock to jazz, from bands like Muse to Zero7. Recently, Ellis quickly made a name for himself across the globe, with his viral remix of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Shape of You’ stacking over 50 million total views on YouTube. Being inspired by the likes of Mike Williams, Curbi and Martin Garrix, the young producer is working hard to grow his imprint across the global dance scene putting forth one strong house production after another. Having released with topnotch labels like NCS, Bitbird, Selected. and FutureHouseMusic, Ellis is currently building his own sound and imprint through his own label Essentials, putting forward only the best of the best in electronic music, characterized by catchy toplines, engaging guitar riffs and heavy drops. Playing across Europe at stages like the o2 Academy in Leeds, to Amsterdam Dance Event in the Netherlands, the artist is also growing his live presence. With many more releases and exciting performances lined up for 2018, the best is yet to come for Ellis.
