Edwina Gray’s journey with music began at just five years old, when a substitute teacher paused mid-lesson and said, “Little girl, you can sing.” That moment unlocked something eternal—igniting a soul-deep connection to music that would guide her quietly but consistently through every season of life.
While Edwina went on to earn a degree in Mass Communication with a focus in PR/Marketing—eventually launching a successful branding firm, Lady In The Red Dress—music never stopped whispering. In fact, her agency’s name itself carries the mantra she lives by: RED stands for Realize Every Dream.
Her musical reawakening arrived in 2020 during the stillness of the pandemic. Invited by renowned vocal clinician Dileesa Hunter to lead branding for Develop the Artist Within You in Atlanta, Edwina found herself surrounded by creative visionaries—and reignited by her own. That same year, she joined the Voisey app, where her sultry, honey-toned voice quickly attracted over 2,000 supporters and inspired her debut project, Flashback Forward.
Seeking more creative freedom, Edwina connected with Melvin Wells of the legendary band Cameo. His mentorship led to a recurring live residency—where she crossed paths with Fort Worth powerhouse Bobby Dade, a local legend praised by Leon Bridges. Their synergy sparked a powerful season of back-to-back performances, sharpening her live chops and deepening her devotion to the craft.
But rather than ride momentum without intention, Edwina chose to pause and pour into her foundation—investing in vocal mastery, sonic identity, and spiritual grounding.
Now, she returns more rooted, radiant, and ready not just for this project but the next to come as well.
Her sophomore release, Terms and Conditions, is a 4-song conceptual project—each track representing a clause: Clarity, Timing, Celebration, and Resolve. The EP is a vulnerable and vivid exploration of how love, standards, and chaos often arrive with fine print.
