Jim B. - A Journey Through Beats and Rhymes
Jim B. started his musical journey as a child, but it was in 1995 that he truly began working with MCs. Over the years, he has produced for artists from 14 different countries, working with legends like Dres (Black Sheep) and Jarobi White (A Tribe Called Quest). Notably, his remix of Dres' "Doin' It Wrong" was so well-received that it became the official version, complete with a music video. Jim B.'s production credits also include Termanology, King Mez, and the tribute track "Peace Phife" for the late Phife Dawg of A Tribe Called Quest, featuring members of the Native Tongues collective.
Influenced by greats like Pete Rock, DJ Premier, and J Dilla, Jim B. specializes in Soulful Hip Hop, though his versatility spans Neo Soul and Boom Bap. He is recognized as one of the most important and original Hip Hop producers in Tenerife, Canary Islands.
Recent projects include producing three tracks on Putolargo's latest album (April 2024) and the remix for M-Dot’s "Silver Bullet" (August 2024). Jim B.'s music is a reflection of his heart and passion, and he hopes listeners can feel the soul in every beat he creates.
