Enthusiastic individual passionate to make music and perform
Shashika Nuwan Madurapperuma who comes to you as N Marc through his entertaining music was born in Polonnaruwa, Sri Lanka. Born the fourth child of a poor rural family, his father passed away in 1999, leaving his mother and three other siblings alone. His mother, a very courageous and creative woman, was the greatest inspiration of his life.
Armed with the innate courage and creativity of his parents, Shashika has been involved in various creative activities since childhood. He was accustomed to playing everything he could get his hands on, and by the age of 10, he was playing local instruments such as Gata Bera, Yak Bera, Thammattam and later playing oriental instruments such as the Violin, Flute and Tabla. What made it special was that he taught it all alone without the influence of a third party. The teachers who recognized his abilities provided him with all the facilities he needed, even though it was a difficult school. The turning point in Shashika's life begins from there.
Shashika, who was popular in the area for his talents, continued to play until the end of his higher education. He often thought of a way to recreate the melodies that came to his mind so that others could hear them. He got to know about electronic music production from a high school friend and started looking into it. With the knowledge he has accumulated since 2012, he started producing music in 2016. He honed his experience with several creations and released his debut EP Foresight in 2018 through his own record label, Hela Recordings. He enlists the support of local and foreign DJs such as R3SPAWN and Avadox. He then presented his creation BLXT to the 2019 Spinnin' Records' Blasterjaxx producer contest and won second place on the chart. In the same year, he remixed Prisionera, a popular song by Romanian singer Otilia. It was released in 2020 via Otilia's Memories album via Jhaps Records. Otilia was the artist named the 2017 Best Balkan Artist. Continuing his musical career, he joined Trend Base, a world-renowned YouTube Music brand, in 2021 to launch their record label. For that, he produced the latest single Upside Down. Its music video was released on the Trend Base YouTube channel. Back in 2021, he produced a remix for the popular Bulgarian singer Andrea's popular song Amor Peligroso. It was released via the Jhaps Records YouTube channel.
Entering the live stage through the Glam Fest in Dehiwala in 2017, N Marc then organized the first ever EDM Dance Event the Electro Arcade in Polonnaruwa and shared his stage with the then-emerging DJs in Sri Lanka such as Electro Doctors, Deftinc, Ambroz, Basecrafts, CLMBO. Then again in 2017 he presented his live performance through Electrolizer in Galle. Recognizing the audience again in 2018 at the Electro Arcade in Galle and the Colombo Trance Mee, he presented his performances in 2019 at Holi Fiesta in Kegalle, #TAG in Colombo and Wonderland with a high crowd response. He was highly acclaimed for his energetic and engaging DJ sessions.
Winning the support and good impressions from the world famous DJs including DJs From Mars, Blasterjaxx, Futuristic Polar Bears, Mr.Sid and Timmy Trumpet, N Marc is still producing impressive music.
