Sïan Able is made of raw material and heartfelt heavy textures. It is Anaïs Elba’s solo project, a palindrome referring to her ambidexterity. From singing to keyboards, from writing to composition, her music inhabits a singular and melancholic universe of soulful depths. Call it spectra or dark wave, classic or doomgaze, it's everything all at once, instinctive and vibrant. Her voice is as frank as her lyrics, expressing emotions vividly and revealing the intricacies of her darkness wholeheartedly.
After withdrawing to the Hill Country last winter, where she’s forging her sophomore LP, the artist stands poised to emerge from her den, ready for this evolved incarnation of herself to meet its first public reckoning.
