Shake Stew

Shake Stew is an Austrian jazz group founded in 2016 by Lukas Kranzelbinder. The ensemble made its debut at the Jazzfestival Saalfelden and subsequently served as the house band for a season at the Porgy & Bess jazz club in Vienna. Their first album, The Golden Fang, was released in 2016. Shake Stew's subsequent albums include Rise and Rise Again (2018), Gris Gris (2019), (A)live! (2020), Heat (2022), and Lila (2023). The group has performed extensively across Europe, North America, Africa, and Mexico. Notable achievements include being named International Band of the Year at the German Jazz Prize 2022 and receiving the Amadeus Austrian Music Award 2023 in the category of Jazz/World/Blues.
