A multimedia journey through memory.
La Furnasetta is a multimedia project. It involves a collective of individuals with varied artistic influences. Although debtor of some independent music of the Nineties the band does not preclude any (musical) current in order to deepen its creative path. The name is inspired by an artefact of industrial archeology dating back to 1872, which is still nestled in the heart of Casale Monferrato. The Furnasetta was in fact a vertical furnace built for the processing of hydraulic lime, then adapted in the early twentieth century to the production of cement. Although inactive for a long time it still represents one of the symbols of the city. The band, through explorations spawn above all from improvisation, tries to evoke the spirit of the town through the more or less emblematic figures who lived in over the last fifty years. Velleitely conceptual, the traces of his work awaken ghosts of a near past and (happily unconscious) living dead that still populate the streets and the silent collective mind of the province of the empire. La Furnasetta is lit supporter of the Football Club Casale and is against any form of fascism or historical revisionism linked to the Second World War.
