Pordalab is Filipino slang of ‘for the love’. They sing to inspire people to love more and care more for others.
While artistic collaboration betwen band members go as far as 2010, their formative year was 2015. Their 2016 debut album Puso at Bayan is currently available in iTunes and Spotify, along with other special releases.
The band is self-managed with Jaime Hernandez at the helm, co-managed by Sabrina Manansala, and active in the Musika Publiko network.
Karl Ramirez (Vocals, Guitar) is a singer-composer, arranger, and music producer. A Bicolano who grew in Manila, he arranges the band's music repertoire and recordings.
Boogs Villareal (Vocals, Kalimba, Ukulele) hails from Pampanga and besides being a singer and musician, is also a visual artist, an actress for indie films and music videos.
Burn Belacho (Lead Guitar) is a guitar virtuoso and advocate of Filipino indigenous instruments adept at a wide range of musical styles that include jazz, reggae, and world music.
Jomar Mangulabnan (Rhythm Guitar) is from Bulacan and an active guitarist for a rap-metal band.
Kyle De Leon (Bass) is a multi-instrumentalist and experienced session performer for various performing groups rendering popular tunes.
Pedro Magat (Percussions, Drums) is also from Pampanga and has been spicing up musical acts with his unique and fiery beats.
AWARDS AND NOMINATIONS They won BEST MUSICAL SCORE at the 65th FAMAS for film Bubog featuring Pordalab’s WAG MONG ISIPIN. Karl Ramirez was nominated BEST INDIE MOVIE MUSICAL SCORER and PANATA rendered by Pordalab and written by Ali Ariesgado won BEST INDIE MOVIE THEME SONG in the 33rd PMPC Star Awards. The films are by Arlyn Dela Cruz.
Pordalab wrote and performed the theme songs of Radyo Inquirer, TUKLAS Innovation Labs, Gawad Bayani ng Kalikasan, Baybayin Buhayin, and music scores of 3 films.
