At the moment they're focusing on more chilling, progressive stuff with special melodies.
The music is meant for traveling(especially through big cities), after-party, relaxing, background, enjoying...
The music is supposed to take you on a journey.
They try to compose music that is pleasant to the ears.
They focus both on keeping the song interesting over time, and on creating a beautiful theme.
All synths sounds are kept mellow.
Both studied at university for quite some time.
This leads to the habit of a very scientific approach to music.
One of their favorite topics has been of course music since 2010(Although Stans started much earlier).
Cook & Stans talk alot about how to improve sound wise.
The both also discuss composing-techniques from classic, to jazz, or contemporary music.
About the friends:
When with their girlfriends, you can often find them with headphones in front of their PCs.
Outside the house, while on the way, they listen to their tunes for issues to fix.
There are rumors that even at work C & S think about how to improve.
