Alexandre Vianna trio began with the desire to explore the sound in the formation of a trio, both in performance and in compositions. The musical influences of each of the members, which cover both jazz and instrumental Brazilian music, contribute to presenting an original and unprecedented repertoire. The trio is constantly evolving. The music we play is a reflection of who we are as human beings. Our mission is to blur the differences between life and music, and try to express the rawest form of our being. We learn that music can contain everything: the beauty of our being, and also our "ugly" side. It is about presenting a complete picture of the musician, unfiltered. We are only interested in learning and developing our expression in music. The Trio is formed by Alexandre Vianna (Piano), Rafael Lourenço (Drums) and João Benjamin (Contrabass).
The new album “Música para dar Sorte” is a reflection of the work we've been doing since before the recording of the first album “Animo” in 2016. This album received several reviews in Japan, Italy, United States, Peru and Brazil.
The new album “Musica para dar Sorte” explores a more modern sound through polyrhythms and odd measures, without losing the melodic subtleties and the interaction between piano, bass and drums.
Music for luck is what I've been talking about lately, thinking of a song that brings good memories, revives some stored feelings and brings luck. May this luck be rooted in good feelings and you can enjoy this trip with us. Finally, the music needs no explanation, just feel.
