From recording his first song 6 years ago in his parents basement in Columbus Ohio, the 23 year old Hip-Hop artist and self-taught engineer Ely Waves, pronounced el-ee, has come a long way from his early SoundCloud days. Ely’s real first taste of success came with the release of his mellow heartbreak tune, “I Just”, hitting the SoundCloud Charts and reaching over 100k streams in less than 2 months on SoundCloud. Ely then followed up his growing momentum with a plethora of vulnerable singles from “Just Hold Me” to “did u mean it when u said u loved me?” to his break through single “I wish I could feel nothing” which hit multiple top positions and even scored a #1 on the ITunes Charts. Having now reached over 1 million streams on Spotify in less than 6 months. Ely Waves is a name to remember in the Hip-Hop world for the years to come.
