Mert Güneri is a singer, songwriter and producer, born on July 16, 1985 in Eskişehir. After completing primary, secondary and high school education in many cities, he graduated from the University of Houston with a Finance Degree in 2010.
He has started music by learning to play guitar while studying in high school. Mert Güneri who also writes poetry, essays and short stories, interprets his own songs as a reflection of his inquisitive personality on his music that has developed himself by reading, researching and working constantly with this aspect, and as a result, he reflected this spirit in all of his works.
In October 2016, with Erato Music label, the songs “Hiç Olmazsa” and “İçine Çek” were released as a maxi single then “Umrumda Değil” in October 2018 and “Bir Gelsen” in November 2020 released out as single albums for music lovers.
“Yağmurda” will be released in February 2021. All songs in the album are written by Mert Güneri himself. The concept of gathering 8 songs with different genres in the same album will be a first in Turkey.
The music video of the debut track “Yağmurda” is directed by Emrah Tarım. In the video clip Mert Güneri’s acting in a straitjacket is as ambitious as the song itself. Besides the debut track “Yağmurda’’, the other 7 songs in the album also have their own music video which present a visual feast to its fans.
