The Moonglows, an American R&B group from Cleveland, Ohio, formed in 1953. The original lineup included Harvey Fuqua and Bobby Lester, who met during their time in the U.S. Army and later formed a duo before expanding into a full group. Their breakthrough came when they were discovered by radio personality Alan Freed, who managed them and changed their name to The Moonglows. Initially signing with Freed's Champagne label, they released several singles that failed to chart. In 1953, they signed with Chess Records and achieved their first major success with "Sincerely", which topped the Billboard R&B chart in Number 1 position in 1954. Throughout the mid-1950s, The Moonglows continued to release hit singles such as "Most of All" and "See Saw". They also appeared in the rock 'n' roll film Rock, Rock, Rock! performing "Over and Over Again" and "I Knew From The Start". By 1956, Harvey Fuqua began taking on more lead vocals, and the group's name was changed to Harvey and the Moonglows. Their final album with Chess Records, Look, It's the Moonglows, was released in 1958. After disbanding in that same year, members pursued solo careers and formed new groups. The Moonglows were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000.
