The Broken Cradle is an Ambient, Electronic, and Neoclassical artist started in 2020 and is the solo work of Eric McLean, a musician of over 20 years.
Influenced by the likes of Nils Frahm, Alessandro Cortini, Brian Eno, and A Winged Victory for the Sullen, The Broken Cradle leans toward compositional ambient music that moves from soothing piano melodies to gritty and soaring synthetic atmospheres, moving from clear storytelling to atmospheric moods.
A Sea of Glass is the first EP produced by The Broken Cradle and was inspired by the emotions, fears, and victories of what could be considered the most disruptive and tragic year in decades. The EP captures the subtle and tender mercies that have been present as well as the isolation, fear, and volatility that has pervaded the lives of the entire world.
