In 2020, John Phelps released the debut EP "John", which combined elements of Hip Hop, Electronic Dance Music and Pop. It was during this time that the artist began promoting to social media the various songs and music videos off of the project. Though it was shorter in length, the project took a bold stance in its approach and ushered in a truly beautiful take on an overly saturated and often times mundane soundscape. Ever the experimentalist, John returned in 2021 with a 2 track project entitled "Hollow". Many listeners took this spin on the "Trap Metal" genre as the artists official claim to the genre. However, only a few months later another EP "Urban Legend" was released, hosting 11 tracks. In contrast to the 2020 EP as well as "Hollow", "Urban Legend" combines elements of Trap Metal and Harsh Noise genres. The onslaught didn't end there. In 2023, fresh off the heels of a short tour in partnership with Narragansett Beer and Liquid Death, Phelps released "DAWG", a comprehensive 9 track EP with songs blending the sonics of previous albums and creating the artist's signature tone of Rap. The project is emblematic of the artists constant goal of remaining fresh in his creativity while also remaining true to his roots as a lyricist and producer. After a slew of singles in 2023/2024, the most recent release "1,2,3,4!" is a collaborative EP with Connor Bilbo, who handled production on the EP. More music is on the way, with an album and EP currently in the works and another tour scheduled for 2025.
