TADIA (pronounced TA - DEE - UH) is a Haitian-American singer/songwriter, media maker, and entrepreneur from Brooklyn, New York. Singing has always been a passion of hers. She returned to doing music full-time after obtaining a bachelor's and a masters’ degree in Journalism. Her music is a fusion of Neo-Soul and R&B vocal styles with Haitian Kompa, Reggae, Soca, and AfroBeat rhythms and cadence.
Growing up in Brooklyn, she was heavily influenced by the many cultures that surrounded her including reggae and hip-hop. Her music education was very diverse ranging from her classical music studies at The Juilliard School to singing in a gospel band, ‘The Believers’.
She has performed at Universal Studios, Blue Note, SOBs, and Carnegie Hall. She opened up Grammy-winning producer Michael Brun’s BAYO Tour with headliner Maxwell and was booked to open for African mega-star DAVIDO’s A Good Time Tour. Tadia has built a core following known as her TRIBE who have continued to grow with her in number as well as in support. Time and time again they have shown their love and have proven to come out in large numbers for her shows.
TADIA has worked and collaborated with many musical heavyweights including Jerry Wonda, known for his involvement in the Fugees, Rotimi, Adekunle Gold, Mikaben, Wyclef.
TADIA released two singles ‘Down Low’ and ‘Worth It’ during her brief period signed to Wonda Music in which she worked closely with Grammy-winning producer Jerry Wonda Duplessis.
Her first single, Down Low, charted Top 50 on the World Music charts in the United States in April 2019.
