My new single 'Fall In Love' is OUT NOW!
When describing Sophielou's sound, it is one that simply cannot be put into one single box. Energy, honesty, depth and passion are words most fitting for the tracks Sophielou provides to the world. She is a SoulSearcher, an observer of the world, someone who cares deeply about love, people & vibes.
Her latest release Fall In Love explores the topic around how no matter what bad experiences you face in love, you should never give up on it. When love is applied to things, it makes it so much better. Fall In Love has already had BBC1XTRA support & playlisted on Deezer.
Born and raised in Wolverhampton in the West Midlands UK, Sophielou came onto the music scene back in 2011 when she released her first EP entitled 'Stepping Stones' which contained just 4 tracks exploring topics around love as a 19 year old.
The year after in 2013 she then dropped a 10 track mixtape entitled Spiritual which contained productions influenced by rnb, hiphop and even some splashes of grime. After deciding to study Popular Music Performance at Birmingham University in 2015 & obtaining a 2:1 in her degree, she took all she had learnt & really applied it to her creative journey. Starting lines of merchandise, releasing singles, projects & putting on her own headline shows, Sophielou has been independently building her base brick by brick taking no shortcuts & still continues to push in 2022.
