There's been a Paradigm Shift...Hands & Feet, debut album coming soon...
Before becoming a born again Christian,
Prophet Link would go by "Young Link,,
where he rapped about lyricism, hood
life, violence, gang culture, misogyny,
and womanizing. In reality, Link was a
nerd, loving video games, comic books,
and even collectible cards, however,
once he took a liking to girls, he realized
that these traits were not very
attractive. Raised by a sing le mother
with a disability in the South Bronx, Link
was enamored with Hip Hop culture and
drew inspiration from the likes of Rakim
& Eric B, Slick Rick, Biggie Smalls, Tupac,
Busta Rhymes, and especially Eminem!
Gangsta Rap in the '90s shaped his
worldview and led Link down a path of
trauma, turmoil, and trials of many
kinds. By the age of 18, Link had gotten
"shot, stabbed, head cracked-open,
lungs punctured and nose all broken" as
he depicts in an unreleased song he has
performed countless times in front of
very diverse audiences. Pronounced
dead twice on the operating table, Link
did not change his life but took to a life
of self-medication through drugs,
alcohol, and women. In late 2006,
humble circumstances drew Link to the
Christian faith, and his life was radically
transformed. After being removed from
music and introduced to Christian Hip
Hop, it was in 2012 Link was deemed
"Prophet" by his then Youth Pastor, "Da
First Souljah", now known as Just Los,
which means "a person regarded as an
inspired teacher or proclaimer of the will
of God" and that is where Prophet Link
was borne> @ProphetLink
