I know it's worth the wait if the garden sprouts late
Hey! It’s Mike ?
My incredibly talented wife is putting out a mystery fiction novel called “Evergreen Peaks” and it’s beautiful and terrifying and thought provoking and she asked me to help her produce an original soundtrack for the book. “Wine Witch” is the chapter where times are good, drinks are flowing, party’s on until Martha goes missing. We’re ALL under the wine witch on March 24th. See you there ?
Calm Canopy- the deep peace and inspiration I find under a canopy of trees.
In the 2020 clusterduck-shmitstorm, I moved from the Toronto area to Vancouver Island with my wife and two cats where I'd write and record the first Calm Canopy singles (, , , ) in a makeshift Mickey Mouse bedroom studio, which were all released over the span of a few months.
2021: the new songs made their way into new ears, *miraculously* gaining over 100,000 streams via various Spotify editorial playlists such as Indie All Stars, Fresh Finds, Fresh Finds: Rock, Fresh Finds: Indie, Fresh Finds: Pop, RADAR Canada, New Music Friday Canada, undercurrents, and Ready to Rock. I was floored. I felt like dancing; I did.
Creating indie rock/pop songs alone in a basement bedroom, I currently live and work from my rinkydink home studio in a sleepy town an hour outside of Toronto. ??
