Mark Truesdell has been active in Milwaukee, WI music since the late 1980's as a songwriter, solo performer, and in groups including John the Conqueroo, FS Camels, The Dellmann Trio, Mark Truesdell & The Lost Pioneers, Truesdell & Rautmann, Once Now Ensemble, Smith & Binder Jazz, Umberto Vata, The 40 oz Kings, and Charles P. Ries & the Minktronics.
Current projects are The Spirals with Candice Truesdell Nokes, and drumming with Dumb Terminal Project.
Drums, acoustic and electric guitar, vocals, harmonica, keyboard, synthesizers, bass, and the homemade Rotella Cosmica are Mark’s main instruments.
Influences include Sun Ra, JJ Cale, The Doors, Johnny Cash, Todd Rundgren, Grace Jones, Buddy Holly, Billy Bragg, Marshall Crenshaw, Willie Dixon, Howlin' Wolf, Kraftwerk, Ms Fun, and Tab Benoit.
