liang lawrence is a 22-year-old singer-songwriter currently creating and performing in the uk. her debut ep 'letters to myself' was released in august 2023 and racked up over 1 million streams in a matter of weeks. liang grew up in eight different countries before she was 18, and was drawn to music at an early age as a source of grounding consistency. teaching herself to play guitar and write songs from her bedroom, she found in music a way to express feelings and find a place for the messy emotions of everyday life. liang’s raw and honest tunes lean into indie folk and soft rock territories in the vein of Clairo, NIKI, Julia Jacklin and Lizzy McAlpine. liang supported Adam Melchor on his latest european tour and has played alongside artists such as Sophie May, Isabel Pless and Olive Klug. in september 2023 she’ll be heading on tour with ten tonnes.
