I'm Always there for you Digitally
The Huddersfield five-piece are made up of lead singer Will Bloy, lead guitarist Jonny Green, Shayne Whitton on drums, Joffa Armstong on bass, and Will Gould on keys. Together, they turn heads and grab attention wherever they go with clean riffs, anthemic ear pleasers, and an undertone of grit and high-octane northern charm.
Formed as RedStar, they released ‘Smile Awhile’ in 2013, in association with Huddersfield Town. The single reached the top 10 in the iTunes Rock downloads, and that success was followed up with the UK Chart top 40 single ‘Just Like Fighting Shadows’.
Between 2009 and 2013, they released three albums. Law and Order was their debut record, followed by Revelator in 2012. The following year The Vaults was released, and in 2014 the band became Bravado Cartel, deciding on the name change to avoid taking a vaguely communist title on a US tour and potentially receiving a backlash. As Bravado Cartel, they never looked back, and in 2016 they released their next album Violence Has No Place at the Table of Democracy, and Anything for an Easy Life came out in 2019.
With five albums already in the bag, and countless UK, European and Stateside tours under their belt they’ve been there, done it, and got all the merch.
Bravado Cartel front man Will Bloy said: “We’ve been in the business a long time. We’ve done a lot, and we’ve got the stories to tell. Looking forward though, we’re really pleased to have signed with Paint The World Music, and it’ll be good to get going. We can’t wait to get into the recording studio, make new music and make some noise. Do the the stuff we do best. As a Yorkshire band who’ve never forgotten about where we came from, it was important to us that our next chapter was going to be based in the heart of God’s own country, and here we are.”
