"Costa Rebel” is a well known Costa Rican musician, composer, music producer and sound engineer certified by Avid and Berklee College of Music. He has worked with many reggae & dancehall stars, among the names we can highlight Million Stylez, Bobby Hustle, Elijah Prophet, Singer Jah, Lengualerta, Kali Blaxx, Johnny Dread, Pipo Ti, Jahricio, Tiano Bless and many more. As a drummer he has played for artists like Capleton, Gappy Ranks, Fidel Nadal, Pablito Molina, Toledo, Tapón, Gonin & Kafu Banton just to name a few. He owns Costa Rebel Studio Label, based in San José, Costa Rica. Among his most outstanding productions are “Rebeldes Riddim”, “Rise Up Riddim”, “City Lights Riddim”, “Put Up Yuh Hand Riddim”, “Wolaba Vibes” by Bobby Hustle, “Conquering Lion” by Million Stylez & “Costa Rica Reggae Showcase Vol 1”.
On 2020 he ventures on a new path taken by many producers who write music, lyrics and build beats, he presents himself as an artist by placing his name side by side with the singers of the different songs they create. On this format we can find recently released songs like “Al Suave” with his compatriots Lioness Haze & Peaceful DR, “Insane” with the argentinian Singjay Tikaf, “Enough is Enough” & “Gots To Burn” with the grenadian artists A#keem and Thamara Songbird St. Bernard respectively, “Too Far Gone” with North American artist Bobby Hustle, & his most recent EP “Million Stylez Meets Costa Rebel” with the Swedish Dancehall Star. Costa Rebel is nowadays working side by side with the Jamaican Reggae Star Elijah Prophet.
He also runs Costa Rebel Studio, where artists from allover the world and different genres hire him for his top quality mixing and mastering services, as well for his unique sounding riddims.
