Singer, songwriter and performer, Joyce KAJ, of Congolese nationality, was born in Burhinyi in the province of South Kivu.
Cradled by music from a young age, very early at 5 years old, she accompanies her sister in a choir where she also becomes a cantor. In the churches where she evolves, she is quickly noticed by her talent during many live performances.
Some time later, she meets Thomas Lusango. This integrates it into Ndaro, a cultural center dedicated to supporting young talents. She performed for the first time in a festival with Thomas Lusango in February 2017.
This collaboration with Ndaro Culture has led him to perform several times at the French Institute in Bukavu.
Today, Joyce's music can be presented as a blend of traditional rhythms, jazz, soul and other sought-after tones.
Instrumentalist, Joyce Kaj acquires experience on the drum, but also plays the djembe.
