Virginia Maestro

Virginia Maestro Díaz is a Spanish singer-songwriter born in 1982 in Linares. She won the sixth season of Operación Triunfo (2008), where her cover of “Creep” reached Number 1 on iTunes. Under the moniker Virginia Labuat, she released her debut album, Labuat (2009), which reached number 2 on the Spanish charts. In 2011, Maestro released her second album, Dulce hogar, featuring the single “The Time Is Now”. She continued to release music as Virginia Labuat, including the album Night & Day (2013), before performing under her full name for the albums Blue Bird (2015) and Del Sur (2019). Maestro opened for international artists including Beyoncé in 2009, Seal in 2011, and Jamie Cullum in 2011.
