Composer, singer, and music producer, Alvaro Lancellotti has had songs recorded by artists such as Marcos Valle, Maria Rita, and others. Some of his songwriting partners include Rogê, Wado, Davi Moraes, his brother Domenico Lancellotti, and other notable names from different generations, such as the renowned Roque Ferreira and Mateus Aleluia, as well as his father Ivor Lancellotti.
After his time with Fino Coletivo, Alvaro Lancellotti released his first solo album, "O Tempo Faz a Gente Ter Esses Encantos," in 2012, with the songs “Sexta-feira” and “Autoajuda” featured in the soundtrack of the HBO series “Preamar.”
In 2016, the artist launched “Canto de Marajó,” mixed by Mario Caldato Jr. Presented at various festivals across Brazil, it was named one of the ten best albums of the year by O Globo, alongside artists like João Donato and Céu. Internationally, the album received positive attention, with four tracks appearing on David Byrne's playlist. In Japan, it was released on vinyl by P-Vine.
Eight years later, in 2024, Alvaro returns with “Arruda, Alfazema e Guiné,” an album released in partnership with Amor in Sound, the label run by Mario and Samantha Caldato.
Immersed in the intersections of Afro-Brazilian cultures and the influences of yoga philosophy, the singer-songwriter honed his experiences in terreiros to create his latest studio work.
