Escaping from the civil war in South Sudan at a very young age, Yung Sheriff is now an up and coming aspiring Song Writer and Rap Artist who, now an adult, is fighting back against oppression and inspiring freedom by writing and rapping about his own life in a real and raw way.
Through Conscious Hip Hop, Yung Sheriff is known best for sharing his life experience and showing people the weight of the burden and lack of opportunity that growing up in a first world country can have on a young South Sudan kid when all you’ve known is the third.
Yung Sheriff also takes on the bigger dogs by fighting for others as well. Using his vocals to inspire social campaigns like Black Lives Matter, Yung Sherriff demonstrates not only that Black Lives Matter, but that we are Talented, Inspiring and Free.
