Chris Von Sneidern (born 1965) is an American power pop, soul, and R&B singer-songwriter and producer from Syracuse, New York. Von Sneidern performed with the band the U-Turns before moving to San Francisco in 1985. He played with the Lost Patrol, performed as the bassist for the Sneetches, and joined Flying Color as a guitarist in 1987. Following the 1990 breakup of Flying Color, Von Sneidern performed with Paul Collins. Von Sneidern released his debut album, Sight & Sound, in 1993, which featured John Wesley Harding. He released the albums Big White Lies (1994), Go! (1996), and Wood + Wire (1998). In 1999, his group the Sportsmen released the album Spirited. Von Sneidern issued the projects London Payne and 2-cute 2-be 4-gotten in 2000. In 2001, he performed the song "That's What Friends Do" for the television series SpongeBob SquarePants. Von Sneidern toured as the bassist for the Flamin' Groovies between 2017 and 2023.
