Jay Rap's is an all round artist from Katlehong in the east of Johannesburg, South Africa. Born Johannes Moorosi Hlongwane in 1993. Jay started making and writing music in 2014 and later that year released his first unofficial single titled Ghetto Calcium along with a music video, under the then stage name "Vanchesta"
In 2019 he changed his stage name to "Jay Rap's" and then created his own podcast titled "The IJaY Show". The following year he dropped his first official hit single titled Nkunz'ebomvu, the single is currently out on all digital stores.
