An unclassifiable and surprising musician, Yann Tambour aka Stranded Horse is the kind of guy who covers an English rock classic on the kora, his instrument of choice. The Normandy-born musician's folk-world sound can be heard on the albums Churning Strides (2007) and Thee (2008), the latter a collaboration with Ballaké Sissoko. Humbling Tides followed in 2011, with its cover of "What Difference Does It Make?" (The Smiths), and Luxe in 2016.
