Méchant Méchant is a musical project created by Rookie Sanchez and Nessim Nazal, producer, DJ and
co-founder of the Shouka label. The fruit of their work culminated in their 1st EP "Belliqueux".
In 2019, the collective swelled its ranks with Pedro Del Son, DJ and globetrotter producer already
proactive in the Lyon Global Bass scene, and created the Banana Box, marking the transformation of the concept into a collective with
the intention of collaborating with artists of all types.
Rich in their diverse origins, they are inspired by the Gqom of the townships of Durban, the Mahraganet of
Cairo or the Baile Funk of the favelas of Sao Paolo as much as the UK Bass Music. Based in the
cosmopolitan district of La Guillotière in Lyon, the Mechant Mechants are also inspired by the music they
hear every day in the neighborhood.
Mechant Mechant therefore does not hesitate to mix genres, styles, cultures, and make no distinction in
their sets and musical productions, which will inspire you to travel and dance.
