Born to Ghanaian parents with Father playing in a musical band in Japan at an early age, DE BRAINIACS, also known as "No Music Bad" was born into a family with a musical history. It's no doubt that William Akabutu " known in showbiz as " Billy " and his much look alike younger brother, Joel Akabutu and also know in showbiz as " Joey " took on the mantle from their father and then took a different direction from playing band like their father did, to becoming recording and performing artistes.
In an interview with HSTV , a renowned TV station in Ghana the duo talked about their music journey and life. With life always not smooth and living in Mataheko, a suburb of Accra, they fell in love with music and started writing lyrics and composing melodies.
They speak about 5 languages with French and English as their trademark, they also speak 3 other local languages making their music composure very professional with a variety of languages being used .
Today , DE BRAINIACS, an Independent brother duo is taking over on a global shock with their singles such as "L'argent", "Dee Day" and "Ma Love" hitting more than 1 million plays on global stores such as Spotify, Soundcloud, Deezer, and Apple Music without any label.
