Matteo Cappella was born in Rome in 1990. When he discovers the guitar he starts playing and writing music and lyrics. From Bellegra, the country where he grew up, around 2011 he moved to Rome and came into contact with the different musical realities of the capital, including academies and independent circuits. In 2015 he moved to Helsinki, where he plays and studies music, as a guest of Metropolia University, before returning to Rome and graduating in popular music at the S.L.M.C. in 2017. He collaborates with several songwriters and instrumentalists in Lazio, Campania, Abruzzo and Sardinia, carrying out research that ranges from local culture to world music. Pervaded by travels, meetings and studies in Italy and abroad, the songwriter composes his songs by setting the form of the concept to the different soundscapes he experiences, from the metropolis to the Apennine province. In 2019 he released his first context album: "Metropolia", which he will present at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. In 2020, at the end of the "Metropolia Tour", work began on his second album, in the countryside of the central Apennines.
