J Rodriguez is a musical and visual artist living in London, UK.
Born and raised in London and of Colombian descent, J Rodriguez spent his youth teaching himself production, building up his skills as a musician on multiple instruments and writing his own tracks before enrolling in formal music education at university. On top of this, he is also a visual artist, creating and editing designs for his own brand, WSTD LVE. J Rodriguez draws his artistic inspiration from various art and musical forms including cinematography and hip-hop, Latin trap, western trap and rock music; he even takes inspiration from innovative brand collaborations. J Rodriguez is a true artist who doesn’t put himself into a box.
J Rodriguez’s musical sound has been described as both trap and alternative hip-hop, fusing organic and electronic sounds with his melodic rap vocals and infectious beats and bass grooves. So far, he has released two tracks, ‘Take One Take Five’ and ‘Hush’ respectively.
Whether J Rodriguez is making music or creating visual art pieces, the driving fuel for his creativity is the desire for artistic expression which has no industry or label. As he continues to share his gifts with the world, the future is looking bright for this multi-talented, creative mind.
