Filipina-Irish Belfast rapper Don Chi, Introduced into Irish Hip Hop 2019 by Rosco Sauce & developing a deep passion & love for rhythm and poetry, Chi attended local open mic competitions and cyphers, along with cameo performances for events like ELIXIR, 5th Element and Breaking Down Borders.
Chi found sound with boom bap, trap, RnB, afro beat type productions & won her first debut set at open mic for Dirty Dike from High Focus Records, which led her to make an official ELIXIR debut on the 29/02/2020.
Chi joined the label GACK & shortly the Vortex EP was born with accompanying music videos.
Working with local artists and producers & following up with features from the south of Ireland with Hazey Haze & Krome with the track Taxi Driver along with international features & solo singles. Later progressing in live performances across the north/south of Ireland, Chi had the opportunity to go to Edinburgh Push The Boat Out Poetry Festival for a performance & panel discussion for a feature in a book by local author Arusa Qureshi - Flip The Script - How Women Came to Rule Hip Hop.
Chi is currently working on solidifying her brand while creating & collaborating with artists & projects from the north & south of Ireland, alongside creating their next season of singles & visuals with pop up performances.
