Mares de Xceso is a musical project from Buenos Aires, Argentina started in early 2002 by Lautaro Brenes, multi-instrumentalist musician and composer of all songs (lyrics and music). It combines rock and funk in an eclectic musical proposal, maintaining a common identity between its songs.
With musical influences from rock and funk classics such as Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, James Brown, Lenny Kravitz, Prince, Stevie Wonder, among others. All Mares de Xceso albums are recorded with analog technology and vintage instruments to achieve a very distinctive analog sound. On Mares de Xceso's albums nothing is emulated, everything that sounds are real instruments and equipment.
Mares de Xceso believes in equal opportunities for genders among musicians, which is why he considers the presence of that diversity as part of the band important.
