What brings Axel Zimmerman to bring us an album as eclectic and surprising as the pop UFO that is 'Exister'? He's certainly travelled the world as guitarist with his band BlackRain, shaken the heads of metalheads at Hellfest and shared the stage with the giants Scorpions, Alice Cooper and Europe. But he has never been able to fully express and share all the music in his head, that hidden part of himself that has led him to spend his life with his fingers glued to his six-string.
Where to place his love of acoustic guitar, gipsy rhythms, electro programming and modern melodies? How to impose French lyrics on a career that is more international than national? Certainly not on a hard rock record. So he went it alone, writing step by step songs inspired by his most intimate life. At first, he wrote them for himself, in the privacy of his living room, far from Hollywood studios. But as the songs accumulated, the idea was born of making a complete, personal album.
