His grandparents labored in Panama. His parents migrated from Panama. Today, Eyedeal Bayano aims to shine a light over Panama. Just one generation removed from extreme poverty, Eyedeal Bayano was born and raised in the DMV. It being one of the nation's wealthiest counties, he and his family were similar to polar bears dropped in a desert. It was in Montgomery County, MD where Eyedeal Bayano would begin to break generational barriers and also hone his talent in music. The pressure is on as he challenges societal norms and a foreign family's expectations for him to choose to instead strive in the work force. The Panamanian-American artist wears his culture on his sleeve as he takes you down a suburban Bel Pre Road on songs like "Around the Way Anthem" or on a canoe down a dangerous jungle river in the infamous Darien Gap on the hit record "Dale Dale". As a proud Afro-Latino, he fuses sounds from his upbringing into his music, tailored with bilingual flows and vivid story telling. Eyedeal Bayano believes in freedom through music and commits to being the voice for the millions that lack one. Grab your bowl of plantains and put on your shades as you too, will be saying, "¡MIRA!"
