Après quinze ans à parcourir le monde avec La Femme, groupe qu’il a cofondé (nombreux disques d’or, victoire de la musique, + 600M de streams, + 400k albums vendus) et emmené sur les plus grandes scènes en France et à l’international (Accor Hotel Arena, Zéniths, Glastonbury, Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza Chicago, Osheaga Montreal…), Marlon revient aujourd’hui en solo avec un premier album qui le reconnecte à ses premières passions.
On y retrouve son goût pour des croisements inattendus et son style singulier : un mélange de rockabilly, de punk, de cold wave et de psychobilly psychédélique. Les morceaux, en français mais aussi en anglais, s’appuient sur des guitares sixties, une “orgie de synthés” eighties, des boîtes à rythmes puissantes, des delays analogiques et une énergie volontairement brute.
Ses influences traversent tout l’album : Velvet Underground, The Stranglers, Motörhead, The Cure, The Stray Cats, JJ Cale, les compilations Nuggets mais aussi des figures francophones comme Gainsbourg, Les Rita Mitsouko, Métal Urbain, Plastic Bertrand, Marc Charlan. Le résultat : un disque rapide, nerveux, (des tempos à 240 bpm) parfois radical, pensé « pour ceux qui ont le cœur en sang et l’envie d’en découdre ».
Coréalisé avec Renaud Letang (Feist, Manu Chao, Peaches) au mythique studio Ferber, cet album marque un véritable retour aux sources pour Marlon et annonce, avec force, le retour du rock dans le paysage musical actuel.

After fifteen years of touring the world with La Femme, the band he co-founded, earning numerous gold records, a Victoire de la Musique award, over 600 million streams, and 400,000 albums sold, and leading it to some of the biggest stages in France and abroad (Accor Hotel Arena, Zéniths, Glastonbury, Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza Chicago, Osheaga Montreal…), Marlon is now returning as a solo artist with a debut album that reconnects him to his earliest passions.
The record showcases his taste for unexpected blends and his unmistakable style: a mix of rockabilly, punk, cold wave, and psychedelic psychobilly. The songs , in both French and English, are built on ’60s guitars, an ’80s “synth orgy,” powerful drum machines, analog delays, and a deliberately raw energy.
His influences run throughout the album: The Velvet Underground, The Stranglers, Motörhead, The Cure, The Stray Cats, JJ Cale, the Nuggets compilations, as well as French icons like Gainsbourg, Les Rita Mitsouko, Métal Urbain, Plastic Bertrand, and Marc Charlan. The result is a fast, fierce record (tempos reaching 240 bpm), at times radical, crafted “for those with bleeding hearts and a desire to fight back.”
Co-produced with Renaud Letang (Feist, Manu Chao, Peaches) at the legendary Studio Ferber, this album marks a true return to roots for Marlon and powerfully signals the revival of rock in today’s music scene.
