Will beauty save the world? This is the bet of Bijan Chemirani, Redi Hasa, and Rami Khalife, three virtuosos united in L’Antidote, an instrumental project that harnesses the healing power of music against the chaos of modern times.
Master of Persian percussion, Bijan Chemirani blends his rhythmic expertise with Redi Hasa’s evocative cello, known for his collaborations with Ludovico Einaudi, Maria Mazzotta, and Robert Plant. Rami Khalife, a Lebanese pianist, fuses classical mastery with electronic experimentation.
Their journey began during the pandemic in a sunlit studio in Puglia, where they recorded L’Antidote. Free from scores, their music is pure improvisation – a poetic dialogue between Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and Balkan traditions.
“Music is an antidote to reality,” says Khalife. “It soothes, heals, and helps us see things differently.” From the delicate melodies of “The Orchard” and “Pomegranate” to the pulsating energy of “Na Na Na” and “MediDance”, L’Antidote is an emotional journey – one that invites you to listen, dance, and transcend.
