Amin Rezakhani is a Santur - Iranian traditional instrument - player. He is a Santur instructor and composer of music in the Iranian music field. Amin is based in Vancouver now and sees Canada and Capilano University as an excellent opportunity to expand his knowledge of Western music.
Amin Rezakhani, originally from Taleghan, was born in Tehran on June 13, 2002. In 2008, he selected the Santur as his instrument. Amin joined Karaj Fine Arts School in 2017. The Raha ensemble was formed at the Fine Arts School under the supervision of Amin Rezakhani. The Raha ensemble participated in over 30 performances within a year of its formation. The pinnacle of their success was their performance at the 4th Fajr Festival in Alborz province, which was met with resounding applause. The ensemble's achievements were recognized and celebrated by the Karaj city council, further solidifying their place in the music scene. The Raha ensemble won first place among other bands in the 37th cultural and artistic competitions at the provincial level. Amin Rezakhani and three other members won first place in their respective solo instrument categories in the same festival. Amin Rezakhani also achieved a top position at the national level of the festival. The Raha group continued its activities with full strength. In 2019, it participated in over 20 performances in various locations and for different occasions, including events for the calligraphers’ association. Once again, all the members and the group achieved top rankings in solo and ensemble performances at the provincial level. The Raha group was also selected at the national level and completed their honors. In 2020, the Raha group appeared in and performed in the Jame Irani program on Jam Jam's global network. Amin got his high school diploma and graduated from the Fine Arts school in 2020 with a 19.56/20 grade. Some of the great professors he had the honor of studying under include Mostafa Momenian and Alireza Kiaei for the Santur, Morteza Shirkohi for music theory and harmony, Farhad Ebrahimkhani, Ali Mominian, and Siavash Esmaili for Iranian music, and Yashar Shahdozadeh and Shaghayegh Khanipour for piano. After gaining experience in playing and leading ensembles, he has entered the field of teaching and composing. He taught music theory unofficially at the Karaj Music Conservatory at the age of 20, where he graduated. He is also recording and composing his music, which can be heard on all global platforms.
