Pretty With The Lights Out is horrorpunk from Indianapolis by singer/guitarist Nate Laff.
Inspired by horror punk greats, Misfits, Blitzkid, Calabrese, Wednesday 13, and more, with a sprinkle of his personal guitar inspirations, Mike Derks (BalSac The Jaws Of Death, Gwar) and Pete Lee (Flattus Maximus, Gwar), and Scott Putesky (Daisy Berkowitz, Marilyn Manson & The Spooky Kids).
In March 2023, Pretty With The Lights Out released their debut EP, Pumpkin Spice Formaldehyde, featuring previously released singles, as well as two new tracks.
The self-proclaimed ‘darlings of Horrorpunk’ had this to say about the release: Pumpkin Spice Formaldehyde is a hauntingly fast-paced and dynamic EP racing you through adventures in pumpkin carving clubs, the thrills & romance of the drive-in, and revenge, all culminating in a lovely stroll through Tolkien’s Middle-earth as you’re taken down to Goblin Town. Whatever corner of horror appeals to you, there is something for everyone.
Nate has also contributed to recorded works of Tracy Byrd (TB Monstrosity of Blitzkid and A Gathering of None) with DRAGNUN's debut EP Appalachian Black Hearts, as well as miscellaneous solo efforts of TB including bass and production of entrance theme song for independent wrestlers. Additionally, Nate is the live guitarist and occasional recording player for Adam Stoner. You can hear Nate's guitar work on Adam's cover of You Should See Me in a Crown.
