Nular is a one-man band from the future playing 100% live progressive metal (for fans of Meshuggah, TesseracT, Animals as Leaders).
His unique finger drumming skills and virtual instruments allow him to sound like a full band improvising some utterly weird polyrhythmic madness. His custom-made performance system doesn’t need any loops or a backing track: he can play all instruments live at the same time.
Nular had played the guitar and bass in a number of bands before he discovered finger drumming in 2016. He quickly realised the vast potential this new form of expression has to offer. He utilised his software engineering skills to develop Nularseq, the “flux capacitor” in his future music time machine that blurs the line between studio recording and live performance.
