Scott Perkins, professionally known as YomiShious, was born and raised in Bradford, England, one of the roughest and toughest parts of the country. At a young age his father left him and his sister, leaving their single mother in debt which took years to pay off. For a large part of Scott's childhood he'd tried to make his father proud by taking up the sports which he enjoyed for the sake of trying to bond. In the end Scott was left exhausted and the time him and his dad would spend time with each other, once every few months, felt empty and out of moral obligation.
To vent out his strong emotions for his father, Scott decided to write down all of his thoughts in the form of rap lyrics. Ever since his uncle had introduced him to his first rap album, Nas' 'Illmatic', at age 7, Scott had been hooked on the genre and loved the passion which his favorite MCs poured into the craft. Scott used the genre as a way to save himself from bottling up his inner anger and sadness and through this he found out just how much he loved to write rap.
At age 12 Scott began to memorise and rap albums which impacted him the most to help learn the craft. Him and some friends would meet up to brain storm ideas and rap their lyrics to each other to gain feedback after school, and this led to Scott finding out just how serious rap was to him. From then, Scott Perkins pursued rap, understanding it was the thing he most loved and cared about and helped him out of the darkest of places.
